This story is about a guy with a moustache, a guy and his stick, a guy with a hat, and his silly tricks.

To unmask the masked, you have to look beyond that smile because as the tears roll down the smile turns into a frown.

A struggle between the two realities: the real and the reel, come see who wins as the truth reveals.

InnerGenerational - Mississauga Fringe

InnerGenerational: Trauma & Healing is the discovery and showcasing of the second-generation immigrant’s experience in finding our place in Canada.

Many of us suffer in silence through mental health issues, shame, guilt, pressures to assimilate and confusion in who we are, always feeling stuck in the middle.

With exploration of our lineage and complicated family history, we are able to find where we belong. The main goal for the InnerGenerational community is to foster a safe environment for Asian artists to grow and evolve in their crafts without fear, limitations and to deviate from the model minority archetype. Without this type of support and solidarity, our ancestral gifts would be lost forever.

Modern Zindagi 3.0 is a string of three short stories exploring the themes of mental health, technology and age inclusivity to present an extraordinary portrait of ordinary lives in the modern times. These three light and at-times comical slice-of-life style narratives - Tanu Aur Manu Ke Haseen Sapne, Nayantaara's Dilemma and KissMiss - revolve around characters chasing dreams, love and acceptance all the while trying to navigate unique situations. Through the journey of these characters, we see Life (Zindagi) painted in the greenest shades of hope, pain and joy.

The Hive

A series of 24 devised theatre performances. Written, Adapted & Performed by a very talented ensemble cast of 8 performers.

Why, is directed by Jimish Thakkar. Who (as they say in devised theatre) plays the role of an outsider.

Whilst the central theme of the show is around Social Justice, at its soul it the performances depict the million things that go through the minds of these 15 to 24 year olds. Who are not teens any more nor are adults. And as mentioned in one of their pieces - earn minimum wage and have maximum rage.

Together, through their performances we invite an open dialogue between the audience and them as they try to question, influence and change the world around them by simply - asking why?
